Anyway, yes losing to Palace stings of course they all do, but come on, get real, we all knew they wouldn’t have much left in the tank after Thursday nights heroics.

Is this the post of the season?

Oh dear, looks like season over.
Would be nice to have a few entertaining games before the summer break. Perhaps a bit of experimentation with some youth players, but somehow I don't see that with Moyes.

Nope, I usually mention them both in the same breathe as good viable options to Moyesz who chooses to largely ignore both regularly.

Oh it’s cornet now, at least it’s not Ings anymore. Good to see you finally shut up about him.

Moyes is to blame for everything, it’s always Moysies fault. Bowen misses a sitter against Leverkussen that’s down to Moyes.

Paqueta gets a stupid yellow in Germany, that’s down to Moyes.

Same with Emerson and same with Alvarez.

Yeah we know. If it’s a negative it’s Moyes’s fault.

What, like the other Club we just played on Thursday Leverkusen who around the same time as us on Sunday managed to produce a 1-1 draw away at one of the hardest places to play in the Bundesliga, Borusssia Dortmund, you mean?

If there wasn't much left in the tank, then maybe it would have been a lot wiser for the manager to help the flogged XI out a but more by changing more of the line-up to cope? And yes we can use the same example of Alonso making 6 changes to their XI that played us, whilst we swapped out Paqueta, Emerson and Ogbonna (who had to come on in the 1st half midweek anyway). To continue flogging an ageing heroic Antonio and Kudus whilst both Ings and Cornet were asked to remain on the bench for this game is so negligent it's a piss take to both vastly experienced Pro's. Also Leverkusens squad isn't as aged as our Dad's Army, so it makes it insane to only change up 3 player's, 2 of which were forced changes anyway due to injury - Aguerd and Bowen.

The fatigue excuse is a weak inaccurate assessment when you look at who could have played in some of our players absence that wouldn't have meant we got tonked. And Cornet proved he could be effective if given more than just 4 fucking minutes to prove himself by forcing an error for our 2nd goal and came close to scoring himself during that time.

I know you are disappointed as am I, but Moysies boys are only human…. A couple of new faces and a new year and we’ll be right back amongst it next season, you’ll see.

Didn't we lose 2-0 to Sunderland in a disgracefully unprofessional result after the Cup Final in 1980? Completely let down Chelsea and destroyed their promotion hopes.

I disregarded that result...

Massive Attack 5:01 Mon Apr 22
Re: ⚽ Crystal Palace v West Ham - Official Match Thread - Preview
Just watched MotD 2 highlights and see the Henderson own goal was actually aided a lot to the fact Cornet first won his header from a Fabianski clearance and then didn't give it up and chased relentlessly after the ball which made both the Defender and Henderson panick into making a terible error. Couple that with the decent play just prior to that when Henderson kept out a good shot from Cornet just goes to show you what we miss when the likes of Cornet and Ings don't play enough. Effective even when only on for barely a handful of minutes.

Diabolical Squad management from the Gutless One.

"I'm inclined to disregard yesterday's result"

Great idea let's tell the PL and they can chalk off the result, replay when we are feeling better perhaps?

FFS, how do you disregard a fucking result? We were shit, 5-2 made it look closer than it was if not for a massive fuck up by Henderson it would be 5-1.

Inclined to disregard the result...LOL

I'm inclined to disregard this season can we start again please

Turn it in ffs, no way on earth he gets a new deal now, the fella is all but dead and has given up. Just a a case of seeing out the last few games before we are all put out of our misery.

"I'm inclined to disregard yesterday's result."

I'm not. This is down to flogging the same players week in week out and having no decent squad players to rotate in and out. We have a barely functioning youth system. We've sold and not bought in January. We play defensively but cant defend. The sum of these factors means that we are at this moment in time good enough to beat nobody on average and that is what is playing out now, we are running out of steam and our season has fizzled. It was all for nothing but not unsurprising

That is parked at the door of Moyes.

I'm inclined to disregard yesterday's result.

No-one (sensible) would be complaining had we gone through on Thursday and had exactly the same outcome against Palace.

But we expended roughly the same amount of energy not going through as we would have done if we had turned it around.

Which is not to say there isn't a plethora of other results where there is no such excuse.

Final nail in the coffin for that living dead cunt.
Lets hope the only positive from that disgrace of a performance is those upstairs finalising a contract for a new manager. What a fucking job/rebuild he will have on his hands.

nychammer 3:02 Mon Apr 22
Re: ⚽ Crystal Palace v West Ham - Official Match Thread - Preview
Moyes prides himself on defence first football. We concede 2 to Fulham and 5 to palace inside a week that sees is topple out of Europe.

Same old tired players, youth don't get a look in, crippling transfer window in January. Poor squad management and rotation, virtually no strength in depth for the money we spent.

YES we're top half YES be careful what you wish for but days liek today show why we need a change. It's fine if we're winning games, utterly devastating when we're take to the cleaners like that by teams like Palace. This cant continue,

If a contract is offered but isn’t signed, then it can be withdrawn.

I don’t believe for one second he’s been offered a new contract, he’d have signed it if he had

Takashi Miike 2:12 Mon Apr 22
Re: ⚽ Crystal Palace v West Ham - Official Match Thread - Preview
I don't think he has ever been offered a deal. I reckon they told him to put out that line to quite down speculation, in the hope he bluffed his way to the top seven or another cup win. they take the fans for fools

the exile 1:59 Mon Apr 22
Re: ⚽ Crystal Palace v West Ham - Official Match Thread - Preview
Some of you lot have not been paying attention. Moyes said weeks ago that he had already been offered a new contract and would be making his mind up at the end of the season. So it's going to be down to Moyes himself, not Sullivan. If Sullivan were to withdraw the offer, I don't know what kind of ground he would be on legally.

This performance and result appear to have made Nutsack give up on football threads to focus exclusively on politics and current afffairs, so that's a blessing at least
